About the Role
An award-winning, family-owned restaurant is looking for a passionate and ambitious Junior Sous Chef to join their talented, dedicated brigade. This is an incredible opportunity for an experienced Junior Sous Chef or a strong Chef de Partie ready to take the next step in their career within a kitchen renowned for its creativity, quality, and consistency.
You’ll work alongside a skilled Head Chef and an exceptional team in a kitchen where fresh, seasonal ingredients are celebrated and innovation is encouraged.
As Junior Sous Chef, You Will:

Assist in the day-to-day running of the kitchen, ensuring smooth, efficient service
Be innovative, committed, and passionate about food, ingredients, and presentation
Maintain exceptional quality and consistency with a professional “can-do” attitude
Support the Head Chef in operational decisions, improvements, and menu development
Lead by example while mentoring junior chefs and ensuring HACCP and allergen compliance
Take pride in upholding The Beach Company standards and values
Ensure a safe, clean, and well-organized kitchen environment
Collaborate effectively across departments to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction
Demonstrate flexibility, adaptability, and strong problem-solving skills under pressure
Take responsibility for the kitchen in the Head Chef’s absence

Key Requirements:

Proven experience in a high-quality, fresh food restaurant or similar environment
Genuine passion for gastronomy, innovation, and excellence
Strong understanding of HACCP, allergen procedures, and food safety
Excellent communication and leadership skills
A great attitude, a desire to learn, and the confidence to lead when required
